Keep Swimming Foundation is pleased to announce that, effective January 1, 2019, Jim Ventura and Lauren Irwin will join the Board of Directors.
Jim Ventura brings with him decades of experience in management and business development. He served on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of America, where he helped oversee the nonprofit’s building of a brand new facility. Currently, Jim serves as a Sales Executive with Dell Technologies, where he manages Dell’s corporate accounts.
Lauren Irwin has over a decade of direct patient care experience in the Chicagoland area. She started her nursing career as a cardiac ICU nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She has since completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at Rush University and practices as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital Of Chicago. She is also adjunct faculty at Rush University and teaches in the Nurse Anesthesia program.
Keep Swimming Foundation sadly says farewell to Sara Danner, 2018 Board Member, who will be stepping down from her role on the Board of Directors to further pursue her work promoting organ donor awareness with Mid-America Transplant. Throughout the past fourteen months, Sara played an intricate role in helping the foundation establish its initial family selection process, where she used her prior experience working hand-in-hand with the families of organ failure patients to bring a unique perspective to the foundation’s family selection discussions.
