Throughout Karrie Driscoll’s fifteen years of nursing experience, she has witnessed countless families struggle with the non-medical debt related to visiting their loved one in the hospital. In turn, Karrie has been an avid supporter of Keep Swimming Foundation since the nonprofit’s inception in 2017. Currently, Karrie is the Lead Nurse Practitioner for the Department of Surgery at University of California San Diego Health System. Prior to obtaining her position in San Diego, Karrie practiced nursing in various major cities, including Chicago, Illinois, where she served as a Medical Assistant at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for two years before becoming a Staff Nurse for eight years with a focus in critical care. As part of the Board of Directors, Karrie’s focus will be growing awareness for Keep Swimming Foundation throughout San Diego and the entire west coast.
